About this deal
Oral-B claims the iO Series 8 can provide a clean that rids your teeth of six times more plaque than a manual clean, using a frictionless magnetic drive to distribute energy into every bristle. I will often see it activated as a result of vibration or movement nearby, thus drawing power from the battery. In some instances, it may be recommended by dental professionals to be used as an extra tool to help keep the mouth clean, but it isn’t essential.
As well as looking stylish, with its own carry case, it has really made a difference to how clean my teeth feel. A 2 pin power adapter is hardwired into it, which is suitable for 2 pin shaver sockets the adapter supports 220-240v. But when you go from electric brushing to iO it goes beyond the ordinary to become a truly extraordinary experience that you will see, hear and feel differently. It works with the Oral-B app on your smartphone to show you a graphic image of how well you are brushing your teeth. We generally recommend flossing before brushing, but ultimately flossing at any time is better than not at all. Does that mean if, for example, when cleaning my upper front teeth I spent all the time cleaning the outside surface (near my lips), and failed to clean the biting surface or inside surface (near my tongue), the iO6 might still think I’d done a good job for that zone?
The Series 8 is available in violet ametrine too, whilst the iO7 can be purchased in electric blue colour. Do bear in mind that with the iO you don’t have the ability to charge the toothbrush in the case and replacement brush heads are more expensive.
The ComAp product portfolio includes controllers that can control voltage and speed and with those products our controllers are able to synchronise to the mains.
I hope this helps those who think this new brush might do the trick, in fact the 2500 one is good enough.A second, lesser powered mode such as sensitive is a welcome addition for new electric toothbrush users, or those with gum disease or sensitivity.
