So Alex Hirsch brought this book to life, creating a 288-page hardcover tome of journal entries, illustrations, ciphers, hidden messages in the bindings, references to every episode, a massive expansion of its world-building, and so, so much more.I was impressed to get such an amazing view of the elusive creature, but now not the time for sketching!

When they find the book and Dipper (but also sometimes Mabel) uses it as a journal to record the events that happen in the summer.However, since Gideon, who had presumably studied Journal 2 extensively, didn't know there were, in fact, three journals, it can be assumed that either it does not contain a similar message, or it is written in invisible ink. On the ghost's right hand is a glove with various utensils attach to each finger being a bottle cap opener, a knife, a spoon and a fork. When we get to the part where dipper starts writing in the journal its pretty interesting to see all the unexplored episode ideas (because that's what it is, it very much feels like this book came to being because Hirsch had some episode ideas he didn't get to explore in video format - which is understandable, he's said from the start the show had a finite number of episodes).
